I have only kept a few friends from my college years, most leave quite far making the occasional drink together a luxury. We nevertheless manage to stay in touch thru phone calls and emails, making sure we keep the others informed of whatever important happens in our lifes. Last week Serge, his girlfriend Mag and I met over a cup of tea and a martini at l'Utopia, a rogue theater chain dedicated to keep the "cinema d'auteur" alive. Serge, for whom I have always been some kind of odity given how different we are, was kind enough to share with me his insights into my personality. I guess trying to understand me has become a game that also helps him define the outline of who he is not.
