As we may think Vanevar Bush (local)
In his world famous essay “As We May Think” (The Atlantic Monthly, July 1945), Vannevar Bush envisioned a machine called the Memex which would enable an individual to store all his books, records, and communications, and provide quick and flexible means for retrieval and sharing of information. Those mechanisms are so similar to the ones used today to navigate the web that Mr. Bush is considered by many as the father of Hypertext.

This paper describes a research project on people's subjective models of the World Wide Web, and the strategies they commonly use to retrieve Web information.
