We focus on giving sense to any interaction involving at least one human. While our core experience is in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and interface design, we often bring our expertise to other fields where similar methods of investigation and analysis are required.
Human factors engineering, coaching and focus group moderation for instance, may not appear to the neophyte to involve the same competences, but they actually do. All those tasks share the same qualitative methodology, all those tasks can be broken down into a three steps process, a process we master.
The three steps process we mentioned earlier are as follow:
First step: The information gathering process
This phase regroups tasks aimed at learning more about your specific problem. Interviewing your team or observing how your employees complete a given task would be good examples.
Second step: Analyzing the data
We can see data as raw material that needs to be refined in order to yield useful
information. Paradigm, concepts and holly spells are the tools we use to make
our data "talk" and extract meaning out of chaos. Tasks typical from this step
include uncovering usability flaws responsible for a undesired interaction between
user and software, consolidating work habits into task flows or finding significant
trends in survey results.
Third step: Defining a set of actionable recommendations
Now that we have learned enough about the issue you hired us to investigate and understood its mechanisms, we are able to issue specific directions as to how it can be efficiently be addressed. Rather than merely presenting you with the problems we found, we strive on giving you concrete solutions to resolve them.
Do not hesitate to contact us with any specific questions you may have. We will gladly answer them or schedule an appointment to help you determine the right solution to your problem.
